Chelsea Schroeder, a native of central New York, moved to Charlotte, NC in 2004 where she was accepted into the renowned Visual Arts program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. The Visual Arts program is specifically tailored for talented high school students to help further ignite their passion for art. While at the School of Arts Chelsea excelled in her chosen path, painting. She graduated with a special concentration in studio art.
Dedicated to continuing her arts education, Chelsea attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where she received her Bachelor's of Fine Art in painting and was the recipient of several scholarships and prestigious awards, including "Best in Painting" at the Art Exhibition at Catherine Smith Gallery. Examples of her work can be viewed at the University Belk Library.
With a life-long passion to expand in the field of painting, Chelsea opened her own personal studio, CJSart in the well-known Charlotte art district of Noda. CJSart was conceived primarily to bring quality art and painting to homes and businesses while working in the local community alongside other organizations in the greater Charlotte area.
CJSart's mission is to be of service to a wide range of art enthusiasts by bringing superior and original art and design to all places in order to enrich and enliven the everyday visual experience. CJSart works both by commission and outreach endeavors with non-profit organizations and provides artistic services through the artist's painting, mural, and digital design skills. Whatever the project demands, CJSart is dedicated to deliver a unique and satisfying final product.
